Highlights include the Wade Davis lecture. The stuff this guy knows is ridiculous, and his lectures are always exceptional. Happy Hour also went well, the speaker Aaron Poochigian, Professor of Classics, was a riot, refreshing, and raunchy. It's just what that crowd needed. Next month, my good friend Hector. I just hope he's not doing a powerpoint presentation.
Confutati went over well, I received nothing but praise for my design. I feel like maybe I cheated with that one since the, er, important graphics were stock illustrations. But dammit, I worked hard to get that to look just right. The original poster file is 17MB for hell's sake, I had to do a lot of masking to make it glow like that!Lyceum program is out the door, I hope campus marketing isn't mad that I changed the color slightly from kool-aid orange to a lovely dandelion, I think they'll deal. I think it turned out well. Not a typographicly sound as I wanted, but I ran out of time.
Speaking of typographically sound, I did a poster for Chinese Cultural Week that I am very proud of, image later. The whole identity for that is going to be so neat. MarComm did some excellent graphics for the banners that I'll use on the website along with the stuff I did.
Well, enough design rant, I am sleepy and need to prepare for the battle that rages in the Dean's Office.
